"As head of the Swiss Air Force's airport fire services, it is important for me to ensure that our firefighters are always on the scene quickly and reliably with our airfield firefighting vehicles to save lives and protect property (aircraft, etc.). Driving our vehicles, which can weigh up to 44 tonnes, is a major challenge. In order to provide our emergency drivers with the best possible support, we also rely on the specialised training provided by the ARFF Driving Academy. This training impresses with the transfer of specific knowledge and skills to optimise safety and performance.
